How does a glass sand blaster machine work?
A glass sand blaster machine, simply involves sand particles being shot through a tube and nozzle at high speed hitting the glass and corroding the surface. to leave an opaque look to the glass. Blasting takes place in a cupboard and the sand particles remain enclosed after sand blasting. This means no need for protective clothing.
Different etchings are achieved by varying the speed of the jet and nozzle and by covering/masking the glass areas you don’t want blasted with adhesive vinyl. This can be used for adding a pattern to a piece of glass, or even a logo, or coat of arms.
